BLANCO EasyCare: Care and Cleaning for BLANCO sinks and mixer taps
Learn how to clean your BLANCO sink and faucet with our helpful instructions and videos.
An independent survey proves it: the heart of every kitchen is the sink. Over 60 % of the work is done here, despite dishwashers! This creates a great deal of dirt, of course.
To keep your sink and tap nice and clean for a long time, BLANCO recommends a proper and regular care.
How to clean a stainless steel sink
BLANCO stainless steel will keep its brilliance and value for decades - with the minimum care. It is cleaned with normal household cleaners. Non abrasive products such as 'Cif' should be used daily for cleaning your sink. This should be adequate to remove such marks as tea stains and grease. The everyday film of limescale, which occurs in the hard-water areas, can be quickly removed using 'Cif' or 'Bar keepers Friend'. Should a thicker layer form, then this will require treatment with a proprietary limescale remover and a soft brush. Rinse the sink thoroughly after limescale treatment.
How to clean a SILGRANIT® PuraDur® sink
SILGRANIT® PuraDur® is very easy to clean. Stains and traces of use are easy to remove with a scouring sponge and a little water. For more stubborn marks, we recommend the use of a standard cleaning product for example 'Cif'.
How to clean a ceramic sink
The water-repellent surface of Ceramic prevents deposits from settling (e.g. lime scale) and reduces staining. All that is required for daily cleaning is a soft, damp cloth and a mild cleaner. After the abrasive removal of e.g. metal marks, we recommend the usual domestic all-purpose kitchen cleaning products such as 'Cif' with a soft, sponge, soft brush or microfibre cloth.
Stainless steel is the choice of many interior designers, builders and kitchen specialists. The stainless steel used in the production of BLANCO sinks is of the highest quality 18/10 Chrome Nickle Steel. The grade is selected to provide reliability and to ensure that the attractive appearance with the minimum of maintenance is retained year after year.
The surface roughness is reduced to the ideal level that dirt finds it almost impossible to cling to. This makes it very easy to care for, but is also a hygiene advantage.
BLANCO ceramic is naturally easy-care. This is due to the particularly hard, perfectly closed surface. This typical characteristic prevents dirt from penetrating, so usually a simple wipe is all it takes to clean it.
Mixer taps and all finishes
BLANCO mixer taps in chrome, brushed, SILGRANIT® or ceramic look are easy and uncomplicated to clean. All that is required for their daily care is a soft cloth and clear water. Wiping the items dry will help prevent limescale.
