Highest standards in HR management

BLANCO top employer of 2015

26.02.2015|

It was preceded by an in-depth analysis of all the HR measures by the independent Top Employers’ Institute that included every aspect of personnel management. For instance, the institute looked very closely at issues such as corporate culture and management, career options, personnel development and work/life balance.

This inspection confirmed that Blanco offers exceptionally good working conditions and a tremendous range of attractive offers for its employees. Personnel director Ulrich Harm, who had the privilege of receiving the award at the ceremonial presentation in Düsseldorf, is delighted about the successful certification, and confirmed: "This award makes us even more interesting as an employer, and demonstrates that we have plenty of advantages in the competition for qualified staff."

CEO Achim Schreiber is of the same opinion: "In recent years in particular, we have dealt intensively and sustainably with numerous measures concerning corporate culture and personnel management. With numerous programmes, the Blanco spirit and with a culture of trust, we have set clear signals that delight applicants and our staff in equal measure."

The news magazine Focus recently published its new study of the best employers in Germany. In the 2015 analysis, which was carried out in co-operation with Statista, with careers network Xing and the ratings platform Kununu, the Oberderdingen company came 59th in the rating of 2000 companies with more than 500 employees – two places up from last year's achievement.

BLANCO is based in Oberderdingen in the German state of Baden-Württemberg, and is a leading manufacturer of high quality sinks and mixer taps. According to the latest Heinze-Sanitär Panel, Germany's biggest sink manufacturer is also the German market leader for mixer taps. Its range also includes waste systems and accessories all around the sink. Blanco SteelArt stands for exclusive solutions in stainless steel, such as hand-made sinks and worktops. The company manufactures its sinks in all three materials, stainless steel, Silgranit and ceramic, itself. In 2014, the Silgranit plant in Sinsheim produced its 50-millionth sink.
The BLANCO Group employs a total of 1,300 people, 980 in Germany and 320 abroad. The group includes numerous subsidiaries both at home and abroad, and especially in Europe, North America and Asia. In 2013 BLANCO achieved a consolidated annual turnover of 293 million euros. The company manufactures predominantly at its sites in Sulzfeld and Sinsheim, close to where it is based, as well as in Toronto and Istanbul. Its European logistics centre is in Bruchsal.
The E.G.O. Blanc and Fischer Group today has a majority holding in the company, which was founded by Heinrich Blanc in 1925, and also in its sister company Blanco Professional, and is committed to observing ethical business practices based on the Caux Round Table (CRT).
