Consumer-oriented and efficient
Blancomodex-M 60 has received the “KitchenInnovation Award 2012” for its excellent product service and high level of consumer orientation. The recently introduced sink module not only delighted experts, but also scored for functionality, innovation and design in the consumer survey. This award is already the third one received in the competition of the “Life-Care – Better living” initiative to find the most consumer friendly product in the category of kitchen furniture and equipment. The award was presented at the international "Ambiente” trade fair in Frankfurt (Germany) on 11 February 2012.
“The award confirms the exceptional sink concept that has been so carefully thought through right down to the smallest details, and which is defined by the excellent symbiosis between user-oriented and aesthetic aspects,” explains marketing director Udo Heckelsberger. During the planning stage, the characteristic features of Modex-M 60 are already evident as clear advantages over comparable solutions. With its clear design based on the cubic basic shape, the Silgranit module integrates beautifully in a wide range of room concepts. Architects and planners are not the only ones who are impressed by its variable installation options. "Modex stands for a whole new generation of modules. Designed for today’s often blended home living worlds, it was important to us to offer as much freedom as possible as well as a high level of functionality while taking into account the planning and design aspects,” explains senior product manager Detlef Schön.
The well-designed accessories for Modex-M 60 increase the user friendliness of the seamlessly merging functional areas. Despite its shape, the new ash compound chopping board surprises with its filigree appearance and pleasant lightness. It moves easily across the entire sink width to create an additional flexible work surface.
Made of Silgranit, the module is notable for being extremely easy to look after and highly durable. Contemporary colours and perfectly matching mixer taps in various designs make an important contribution to an individual, customised kitchen plan.
“KitchenInnovation of the Year”:
The call for nominations for the annual presentation of the people’s choice award of the “KitchenInnovation of the Year” is made in various categories (kitchen furniture / equipment, large electrical appliances, small electrical appliances, cooking and kitchen utensils, and kitchen accessories). A panel of experts from the “LifeCare – Better living” initiative nominates new submitted products after a standardised test procedure. To ensure an all-round assessment, various criteria such as functionality/user convenience, product benefit, innovation, design and ecology/sustainability are taken into account. Consumers then decide in a second step, and vote for their favourite product in each category. One winner is chosen per category from all the submitted products. Blanco received the award in 2008 for the Blancostatura stainless steel sink line, in 2011 for the Blancoalaros Silgranit sink, and in 2012 for the Blancomodex-M 60 Silgranit module.
