Created in 1950, GOOD DESIGN is acknowledged as the world’s most prestigious, recognized and oldest design award program organized annually by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design in cooperation with the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies. Over 900 new products from more than 46 countries competed as entries for the 2016 awards.
“With each new product BLANCO produces, we continue to strive for excellence and we believe that is exactly what the GOOD DESIGN award represents – excellence in design,” states Tim Maicher, Director of Marketing for BLANCO. “Both the IKON and the ARTONA have truly exceeded all expectations and it is such an honor for both of these new products to receive such a prestigious recognition.”
The revolutionary BLANCO IKON® is the first Apron Front sink of its kind. Made of BLANCO’s patented SILGRANIT® material, the IKON is the perfect combination of design, function and durability.
The BLANCO ARTONA® faucet with pull-down spray is offered in a variety of dual finishes to coordinate with BLANCO’s SILGRANIT® colors as well as full chrome and stainless models. The ARTONA collection offers kitchen and bar models and also includes different models for water conservation.
