A kitchen is not just four walls; it’s a place where memories are made with the ones you love. Randi Garrett, Interior Designer and Blogger at Randi Garrett Designs, recreates her kitchen with exactly that in mind. The elegant all white kitchen with BLANCO’s MAGNUM™ sink shows her passion for design in her very own home. In this interview, we discuss Randi’s inspiration and creative process behind her kitchen creation.
What was your inspiration behind this gorgeous kitchen?
A: The inspiration behind my kitchen design was actually a bunch of photos I gathered over time. I took bits and pieces from rooms I was drawn to and created a kitchen that was my exact style.
Why did you to choose a BLANCO MAGNUM sink in your design?
A: I wanted our kitchen to be timeless yet current. My husband wanted a farmhouse sink and I wanted something a little more transitional. While searching for inspiration one day on the internet, I found a photo of this gorgeous stainless steel sink that checked all of the boxes for both of us. It was a farmhouse style for him, had clean lines for me, and had some amazing character with the towel bar. It turned out to be the BLANCO MAGNUM! BLANCO has an incredible name for quality and style and I knew instantly that this sink was destined to be in our home.
How did BLANCO help bring your vision to life?
A: BLANCO helped me achieve that timeless, transitional look with this sink and it also ties in the stainless steel from the range beautifully.
What was your biggest design challenge?
A: I would say my biggest design challenge was really choosing a sink! I searched forever to find one that would meld with the look I was going for. I didn’t want a standard porcelain, farmhouse sink because it was too country for the look I was trying to achieve. A standard stainless sink would have made my husband sad, so finding this BLANCO sink was like finding the perfect match! It really is the star of the island.
What is your favorite part of your new kitchen?
A: I love how big and airy it feels, and how it makes me smile when I’m making dinner for my family. We have 5 children, so large appliances and durable finishes were key to the design. I love how functional, yet beautiful it feels. You don’t have to sacrifice style for function!
